Rey Gonzalez, president of Biscayne Import Services, has over 35 years of experience in the cargo business. He learned the business from the ground up, starting at a very young age in a clerical position at Albury and Company. Shipping in Miami, FL, and consistently advanced through the ranks to become a senior manager. This has provided hands-on experience in all aspects of customs clearance, logistics and transportation which provides advantages when dealing with the importation process at all levels. Mr. Gonzalez knows what to expect in all customs brokerage situations and is constantly out in front of them. His philosophy is: “We avoid problems so that we don’t have to solve them later.”
Mr. Gonzalez saw an opportunity to improve customs broker performance, which inspired him to launch Biscayne Import Services in 1999.
